The Mosaic Kite trail has got its wings!

It’s an idea I had years ago – to start a mosaic trail that becomes a map that people can follow in an area as well as a symbol that gives a sense of belonging to people as they walk round their neighbourhood. The idea lay dormant for quite a while and came to life last summer when I realised I could start it right on my doorstep – we have a vibrant community network as well as our own little symbol – the lovely kite. I have now run two Mosaic Kite Trail workshops and there are about 80 kites now in the neighbourhood of Furzedown in South London. Here ‘s the pics of the latest workshop. I am going to photograph people’s kite’s – displayed in porches and front of houses –  soon and make a lovely montage poster…
