Mosaic Garden of Discovery…prelude!

I am going to be a mosaic tease…

The Glittering Shards gang has been filling a community garden with mosaic all spring and it is finally all installed!

I sooo want to show and tell you the  story of the Garden of Discovery…but I love writing and blogging too much to not to do it justice and at and at the moment there are too many other things I need to attend to before the summer holidays arrive (know that feeling?!).

In the meantime, I thought I would just tempt you with some close ups…

I will leave you to guess what these mosaics are when you see them in their full size! The only clue I will give you is that it is HUGE and there are LOTS of them!

I will be back with the full pictures and the story – total eye candy and inspiration for all lovers of mosaic, gardens, creativity and beautiful public spaces..

  1. Hi Concetta. Thank you for your glorious website and generous sharing of your beautiful art and expertise. I am an artist, illustrator and author living in Brisbane Australia. have been asked by a local community garden to do an activity with the children on their children’s day. I thought perhaps mosaics might be a possibility because they would like something permanent that expresses the involvement of children with the garden. Your posts have been very useful in conveying the process and beautiful results. I am hoping to try something like you have done. You have inspired me!

I was curious if you ever considered changing the structure of your website?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But
maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having
one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?

I do trust all the concepts you’ve presented for your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work. Still, the
posts are very brief for starters. May just you please prolong them a little from subsequent time?
    Thank you for the post.
