{"id":3053,"date":"2013-07-07T21:49:32","date_gmt":"2013-07-07T20:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glitteringshards.com\/blog\/?p=3053"},"modified":"2013-07-07T21:49:32","modified_gmt":"2013-07-07T20:49:32","slug":"mosaics-in-the-fast-lane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glitteringshards.com\/blog\/mosaics-in-the-fast-lane\/","title":{"rendered":"Mosaics in the fast lane&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Folks, I feel like a neglectful blog mummy&#8230;its the longest gap in blogging since having children (and I promise I haven&#8217;t been..!)<\/p>\n<p>There has been so much wonderful work happening here in my little studio that I have had to totally focus on doing it rather than talking about what I am doing&#8230; I know most of you will understand.<\/p>\n<p>The last 2 weeks&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 8\u00a0 workshops (over 65 people!) all making wonderful stuff&#8230;the last workshop yesterday launched the mosaic trail idea (a great success!). Pics to follow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; finishing a commission of 13 mosaic plaques&#8230;pics to follow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; started designing my <a title=\"Global Talent Search\" href=\"http:\/\/lillarogers.com\/global-talent-search\/\" target=\"_blank\">Global Talent Search<\/a> piece&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; putting together my student&#8217;s\u00a0 portfolio for the <a title=\"Topps Tiles competition\" href=\"http:\/\/www.toppstiles.co.uk\/mosaic\/\" target=\"_blank\">Topps Tiles Mosaic Award<\/a>&#8230;pics definitely to follow as they are amazing!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; planning two new commissions (all v. exciting)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; selling two mosaics (one very large and huge wrench to say goodbye to)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t even had a chance to tell you that I have completed an idea I had about 3 years ago&#8230;to create a speeded up video of the mosaic making process so you can see the process\u00a0 in 2.5 mins!<\/p>\n<p>So, here it is&#8230;(now also nestled on my home page)&#8230;fast mosaics!
