{"id":3163,"date":"2013-11-06T22:39:03","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T22:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glitteringshards.com\/blog\/?p=3163"},"modified":"2013-11-06T22:39:03","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T22:39:03","slug":"being","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glitteringshards.com\/blog\/being\/","title":{"rendered":"Being&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am trying to take some moments to just &#8216;be&#8217; in the middle of all the busyness&#8230;this week I have been working on my piece for a competition by <a title=\"Cox and Kings\" href=\"http:\/\/www.coxandkings.co.uk\/middle-east\/morocco-tours\" target=\"_blank\">Cox and Kings<\/a> who organise tours of Morocco &#8211; check in on Monday to see what I have made!<\/p>\n<p>Talking of being, I came across this piece of writing, apparently by a boy who died at the age of 13. I love how he talks of our &#8216;mosaic of gifts&#8217;&#8230;from the mouth of babes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>We need to stop.<br \/>\nJust stop.<br \/>\nStop for a moment . . .<br \/>\nBefore anybody<br \/>\nSays or does anything<br \/>\nThat may hurt anyone else.<br \/>\nWe need to be silent.<br \/>\nSilent for a moment . . .<br \/>\nBefore we forever lose<br \/>\nThe blessing of songs<br \/>\nThat grow in our hearts.<br \/>\nWe need to notice.<br \/>\nJust notice.<br \/>\nNotice for a moment . . .<br \/>\nBefore the future slips away<br \/>\nInto ashes and dust of humility.<br \/>\nStop, be silent, and notice . . .<br \/>\nIn so many ways, we are the same.<br \/>\nOur differences are unique treasures.<br \/>\nWe have, we are, a mosaic of gifts<br \/>\nTo nurture, to offer, to accept.<br \/>\nWe need to be.<br \/>\nJust be.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mattie Stepanek<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am trying to take some moments to just &#8216;be&#8217; in the middle of all the busyness&#8230;this week I have been working on my piece for a competition by Cox and Kings who organise tours of Morocco &#8211; check in on Monday to see what I have made!
