October and November…<\/p>\n

…made about 30 new pieces of wall art, 30 items of jewellery, 15\u00a0 3-d mosaic pieces
\n…designed and distributed over 1000 postcards and 200 posters advertising my first solo show
\n…sent a multitude of emails and forum posts to tell people about it
\n..worked 12 solid hours setting up the gallery<\/p>\n

Five days at the gallery and a Private View later,\u00a0 all I can say is that this experience has exceeded my expectation in every way – visitor numbers (despite the snow!), sales and the amazing feedback and affirmation of people observing my art. I am in awe…<\/p>\n

The Private View was wonderful – a great turnout even though the transport was very much affected by the snow and ice.<\/p>\n

Many of the refugee young people who helped make the ‘Shards of Hope’ mosaic patchwork came – two of them did a speech about how much the Klevis Kola Foundation<\/a>has helped them and how they have enjoyed the mosaic project – it was a highlight for me and I feel honoured to have worked with this wonderful – and vital – community group.<\/p>\n

One more week to go, and then a well deserved rest!<\/p>\n

It has been intense and a hard slog. My reflection tonight is….that this massive creative achievement is the culmination of many small steps. And the small steps began with a thought, a possibility.<\/div>\n
