This is rather wonderful as I was a social worker and advocate with children in care until recently, so it brings two parts of my life together\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li>a really successful pilot of mosaic workshops at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artyard.co.uk\/?q=node\/16\">Artyard<\/a>.\u00a0 People really got the mosaic bug and were so complementary about the course that we have now booked another month&#8217;s worth of workshops!<\/li>\n<li>announcement that one of my students, Silvia, won the local round of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toppstiles.co.uk\/news_mosaic_achievement_awards.asp\">Topps Tiles Award for Achievement in Mosaics<\/a> for her first mosaic &#8216;<em>Starling<\/em>&#8216;. She now goes through to the national round. I spent part of my childhood in Southern Italy, in a beautiful seaside town called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/images?q=marina+di+ginosa+italy&amp;oe=utf-8&amp;rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;um=1&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;source=og&amp;sa=N&amp;hl=en&amp;tab=wi&amp;biw=1600&amp;bih=691\">Marina di Ginosa<\/a>, with the loveliest white sandy beaches and acres of vineyard<br \/>\n6. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Van_Morrison\">Van Morrison<\/a> is my all time favourite musical artist &#8211; Irish mystic and musical genius<br \/>\n7.
