Its been such a rich time, friends. One of those periods where you put everything you are doing on the table, examine and ponder. It feels so healthy to take nothing for granted, to question where my energy is going, what matters most to me…
It is so easy to keep on the same tracks…because those tracks are familiar, successful…they work, they are well oiled…
To have a period where you question everything feels good, very good indeed. And that is where I am, making space to listen to the things that whisper for my attention. Certainly, having a week in bed with shingles (ooch!) helped give some head and heart space…
I have made big life and career transitions before and though they take a lot courage, it is so worth it.
Finally, I am winding down all the wonderful mosaic projects for the summer. It has been another busy term – two lovely school mosaic projects (the last one finished last week), the amazing Garden of Discovery mosaics are nearly all on the wall (about 15 large mosaics and lots of small ones no less!), running my 7-week mosaic evening courses (such lovely work being made) and the third mosaic trail workshop (its going global folks! Details soon…) and teaching a great bunch of one-to-one mosaic students as well as a commission that will be delivered this week. I have so many mosaics pictures to post here…soon!
It is nearly time for summer, for some well deserved lazy days, more pondering, some sorting (the two go hand in hand don’t they?) and some decisions about future direction…
