Frolicks in hay bales and glens..

Yes, that has been us in the last two weeks!

We started off on the southern most tip of the UK, amongst the hay bales of the beautiful Eweleaze campsite on the Dorset coast and ending up in Scotland, dipping in the North Sea (brrr….!), baking bananas on the beach with the driftwood we gathered and wondering the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. There is something about the light in Scotland that is just so…lilac and still and evocative. I could not get enough of it. I have tried to capture it in pictures…here’s a peak at what we have been up to.

A common sight at Eweleaze!

Olympic race amidst the straw (what determination on that face!)

Spot the kite...

The view from our window in Scotland, complete with fingernail moon...

My beautiful girl...

Pushing back the clouds!

No seaside trip is complete without one...

Canoeing action...

Bobbing in the North sea (that's me right at the back!)

Now, that's what you call 'cloud cover'!

Crow over Loch Lomond

Magical light at Loch Lomond

Magical, mystical, misty light...

My wee little laddie...

He knows something we don't...

A very friendly reindeer...

Thankful for wonderful friends to share holidays with

Yes, time with friends is very precious...

Back to mosaic action next week, but for now, the post-holiday ritual of taming mountains of laundry (I know I am not alone…).

what gorgeous photos! How lucky you are to have spent two week exploring that beautiful place! Your girl is looking, yes, beautiful, and also quite grown up! The little Scottish hat made me smile 🙂
